International Politics

  • Roddinport announces a series of diplomatic achievements, including a Non-Aggression Pact (NAP) with USSE, a Military Alliance/NAP with Donfuer, NAPs with Simulami and Korosechev, strengthening regional ties and promoting peaceful diplomacy.

  • Caladonia joins Ábergard-Alabasta following the collapse of Gardenia, emphasizing a fond memory of their time under Gardenian rule but acknowledging the need for change and growth.

  • Valrean Empire and the Kingdom of Aurica declare friendship and commit to cooperation, overcoming a history of rivalry and conflict to strengthen ties and promote regional harmony.

  • United Commonwealth announces a Non-Aggression Pact with neighboring Eleanor and a Military and Diplomatic Agreement with Ryzan, signaling renewed international engagement and strengthening regional relationships.

  • The Imperial Archonate of Sylvania supports the reformation of the Aristios Republic, as the provinces of West Aristios and Castellum leave Sylvania's protection to become independent. The Imperial Archon of Sylvania expresses goodwill towards the Aristios Republic's future and hopes for ongoing cooperation and friendship between the two nations.

  • Imperial Provinces of Aristios congratulates the newly-independent Republic of Aristios and looks forward to a collaborative future while thanking Archonate Sylvania for recognizing the new nation.

National Politics

  • Amagoria and Alegria unite to form the Workers' Diarchy of Amagoria, a single socialist state led by President Freeman and Despot Henrik, with a new government structure and a focus on growth and prosperity.

  • Alvar Eliyawin-Nuwan ascends to the Frozen Throne as the seventh Yirsidan of Anglunia, following the death of Queen Eliyawin and the madness of King Yizawan; funeral for /Eliyawin and coronation ceremonies planned at Nuwan Castle and Isaz Keep.

  • Later that week, after the failed coronation, the Yirsidan of Anglunia Yizawan “The Mad King” retakes the throne, imprisoning traitorous brother Alvar, announces plans for a golden age, and ominously warns opponents while simultaneously initiating elections for citizens to select their desired representatives.

CHILDREN OF ICE! I have retaken my throne! My brother Alvar lies imprisoned like the damned traitor he is, awaiting his rightful DEATH! I say this once again, to all of Anglunia, any who dare oppose me shall DIE SCREAMING! None shall dare take my throne again, no other Nuwan, Lochatlan, or otherwise shall sit upon the Frozen Throne. My plans are almost complete, yes... YES! SOON WE SHALL MERGE THE EARTHS AND HEAVENS AND BEGIN AN ETERNAL GOLDEN AGE!

Yirsidan Yizawan, the Mad King
  • The Aristios Republic is re-established, with the approval of Sylvania's Archon, marking a new beginning for the West; the newly formed Republic acknowledges the Imperial Provinces of Aristios (East Aristios) as fellow citizens but recognizes their separate governments, aiming for a more peaceful future between the two regions.

  • The Republic of Aristios announces upcoming senatorial elections for three provinces, welcomes returning citizens, expresses gratitude to the Imperial Provinces of Aristios, and emphasizes a distinct identity despite shared goals and aspirations.

  • The Jörðari government announces the unanimous decision of the Council of Elders to restore the Jörðari monarchy as an auxiliary government alongside the Diktat, with the Diktat acting as regent until a monarch is selected by popular plebiscite.

Conflicts

  • Amarillian civil war ends with foreign intervention; Queen Connie de Aulian-Porphyropolis murdered; Zie Western Drakaes formed from Ábergard-Alabasta, Amarillo, Altryae, Aurica, Taernsbia, and Takavia, reuniting the Drakesland under a single banner.

  • Imperorrat of Laurenia uncovers an infiltration plot by the Great Marshall, leading to an alliance between Laurenia and The Swarm after resolving the potential conflict.

Denouncements

  • Postal Dude Jr issues a humorous yet stern announcement directed at @Baked_Croissant, who is accused of betraying the hard-working leader @Βασιλιάς Kayo. Postal Dude Jr reminds everyone of Baked_Croissant's close relationship with Kayo and questions the betrayal. Baked_Croissant is given 24 hours to retract the announcement, or Postal Dude Jr warns that severe consequences will follow, including the destruction of Baked_Croissant's nation. Postal Dude Jr expresses support for Kayo and dissatisfaction with the situation.

  • The Overmind of the Swarm banishes and strips Mauripika of their gifts for instigating conflict between The Swarm and the Imperorrat of Laurenia, vowing to destroy those who harbor the traitor.

Culture

  • The Aristii University of Galliopolis seeks community contributions to create a comprehensive history curriculum covering various levels and topics and encourages players to submit their knowledge through an online form. https://forms.gle/piZkAGBTKw36Qj6b6

  • The Novastonian Empire held a flag design contest, offering a 200k prize pool for a Roman-themed redesign using original flag colors, with the winning design becoming the new national flag.

Religion

  • The World Religious Union announces the first Mugen Trials, set to take place on Saturday the 15th at the Pastel Cathedral. The trials will charge several Segrist criminals with various prohibited acts of conflict, including intentionally directing attacks against civilian objects, extensive destruction and appropriation of property, attacking undefended towns and buildings, and causing great suffering and injury to civilians. The first three individuals to be tried are @Jigtoes, @PilotaPrism, and @Clownling_. The World Religious Union seeks justice for the people and pays tribute to the gods of Eldham and Rathnir.

  • The Rattican leaders host a trial to punish those who joined with the Segrists, resulting in some individuals being found guilty and executed, while others receive community service and a rebuilding sentence. The community hopes for retribution for those who caused chaos and harm in Eldham.

Server News

  • A new shop rotation theme, Logging Botany, has been added, with subsequent rotations occurring bi-weekly. The next rotation will feature Nether items. Additionally, flowers have been added to the shop rotation.

  • The Player Council returns to hold a discussion on topics such as the new player experience, roleplay and world-building encouragement, and economic improvement. The council staff emphasizes their role as players and not as staff in hosting the discussion.

  • Yazov, Geo, and Howertt have updated the counterattack rules for offensive wars. If the attacking side backs out of a war they declared, the defending side can now counterattack any of the other side's claims, including disputed areas, vassals, and overlords, using the same claim that would have been attacked in the called-off offensive war. It is important to note that a counterattack cannot be invoked after a claim has been transferred.

  • A new and more dynamic blacklist system has been released after receiving feedback and complaints from the community. The system now includes clear guidelines for blacklisting and a structure for review, allowing players to be removed from the blacklist if they meet the criteria. Only 8 players out of 220 were removed from the blacklist in the most recent review by the team. The community is encouraged to refer to the Ultimate Blacklist Guideline Document for more information.

  • The rule regarding sexual, erotic, and graphic comments in public chats has been updated. Previously, the rule only applied to chats where minors were present, but now it applies to all public chats. Any such comments made in public chats will result in punishment.

  • Rule 13.2.1 was updated to prohibit discriminatory comments based on race, gender, sexuality, or religion without admin discretion. The punishment for violating this rule has been reduced from a permanent ban to a 6-month ban, with an option to appeal.
